Yes, we have plenty of free parking available on site.

How many people can share a bay on the range?

A maximum of four people can share a bay.

Do I need to book the Driving Range?

No, there's no need to book a bay. Simply turn up and if we are full, we have a queuing system. Alternatively, we have a small number of bays you can book via 'book a bay'.

What gift voucher amounts are available?

We offer gift vouchers for all our services! Golf lessons start from £35 for 30 minutes, driving range vouchers from £10-£100, and golf shop vouchers from £10-£500. All vouchers are valid for 24 months, so there's plenty of time to use them.

How long does a custom fitting take?

A custom fitting session typically takes about an hour, depending on your needs. Our PGA professionals will assess your swing, try different club options, and make sure everything feels right for your game. We'll take our time to get it spot on - there's no rushing when it comes to finding your perfect clubs!

Do I need my own golf clubs?

Not at all! We've got clubs available for hire at the driving range and in our pro shop. Our PGA professionals can help with custom club fittings too, and there's no extra cost when you buy clubs from us.

What coaching facilities do you have?

We've got brilliant coaching facilities including a 5-hole Huxley putting green, 2 floodlit chipping pods, and an Ecobunker for practising bunker shots. Everything's floodlit so you can have lessons even when the sun goes down. Perfect for working on your short game!

How experienced are your coaching team?

We've got 5 PGA qualified professionals who bring years of teaching experience. David qualified in 2010, Lee in 2011, Mark in 2018, plus Amelia who's currently in her first year of PGA training. They work with everyone from complete beginners right through to experienced players looking to lower their handicap.

Do you offer junior golf coaching?

Yes, we love getting kids into golf! We run junior coaching programmes designed specifically for young golfers. Our coaches are brilliant with children and teenagers, using methods and equipment that work for their age and size. Contact us for current junior programme details and pricing.

What's the difference between individual and group lessons?

Individual lessons give you one-on-one time with a PGA professional who can focus completely on your specific needs and goals. Group lessons are great fun and more budget-friendly - usually 2-4 people of similar ability learning together. Both work well, it just depends what you prefer!

How do I book a lesson?

Easy! You can book through our website, give us a call, or pop into the pro shop. We'd recommend booking ahead, especially for weekends and busy times. Our team will sort you out with the right coach for your needs.

How much do golf lessons cost?

We offer 30-minute individual lessons from just £35 with our PGA qualified professionals. We've also got group lessons and junior coaching at competitive rates. You'll get expert guidance from our team of 5 PGA professionals who are here to help you improve your game.

Do you offer range cards or memberships?

Yes, we offer 3 great range card options that give you extra value: Bronze (spend £27, get £30 credit - save 10%), Silver (spend £68, get £80 credit - save 15%), or Gold (spend £100, get £125 credit - save 20%). Perfect if you're a regular at the range!

How much does the driving range cost?

You can book a 55-minute bay (including unlimited balls) for £17 for one person or £20 for up to 4 people. Walk-in options are: 20 balls £5, 50 balls £8, 75 balls £11, or 100 balls £14. Bookable bays include iron and hybrid clubs, with drivers available to hire at £6.

Can I practise in the evening?

Definitely! Our 21-bay driving range is fully floodlit, so you can practise well into the evening. Perfect if you work during the day or just prefer evening sessions. We're open until 10pm midweek in summer.

Can beginners use the driving range?

Absolutely! We welcome golfers of all abilities and we love helping people get started. We've got a whole 'Get started in Golf' programme, and our PGA professionals are always happy to give beginners tips on technique and equipment.

What should I wear to the driving range?

Just turn up in comfortable clothes that let you move freely. Trainers are fine - no need for proper golf shoes unless you want to. We don't have a dress code at the driving range, so no worries about looking the part. Just avoid anything too loose that might get in the way of your swing.

What is Top Tracer?

Top Tracer is brilliant ball-tracking technology that shows you exactly where your ball goes on screen in real-time. You'll see distance, ball speed, carry, and accuracy, making your practice sessions much more engaging and fun. We've got Top Tracer on every one of our 21 floodlit bays.

What's the golf course like?

The Great Salterns Golf Course opened in 1926 and it's what we call an 'inland links' with a par of 69. It's got a lovely friendly reputation and welcomes golfers of all abilities. The greens are excellent, and whilst it might not be Championship standard, it's a proper challenge when the coastal winds get up!

Are you good for corporate events?

Absolutely! We welcome corporate groups and can put together packages with lessons, range sessions, and course play. It's perfect for team building or corporate entertainment. Get in touch and we'll sort something out for you.

What are your opening hours?

We're open 7 days a week! Monday to Friday we're here from 8:30am to 10pm (April to October) and 8:30am to 9:30pm (November to March). Weekends we close a bit earlier - 8pm in summer and 6pm in winter. Give us a call on 023 9266 4549 if you need to check we're open.

Do you do gift vouchers?

Yes, gift vouchers are available for lessons, range sessions, or pro shop purchases. They're valid for 24 months and make brilliant gifts for any golf enthusiast. You can buy them in the pro shop or online: just go to the Gift vouchers page for more information.

Of course! We're a proper family-friendly place with programmes for all ages. We've got junior coaching, the course welcomes all abilities, and our driving range is great for kids and adults alike.
