David Egan

PGA Professional since 2010 | All-level coaching, junior development and custom fitting specialist

David joined Portsmouth Golf Centre in 2004, qualifying as a PGA Professional in 2010. Specialises in all-level coaching from complete beginners to scratch golfers, and junior lessons ages 6-16. Helps all golfers reach their potential from accomplished players lowering handicaps to beginners progressing to the course.

Level One Coach | PGA Trainee | Junior coaching & beginner specialist

Amelia is a Level One coach in her first year of PGA training. Specialises in fun, engaging junior coaching ages 5-16 and beginner-friendly individual lessons with excellent availability. Especially involved in junior coaching programmes, delivering engaging lessons for kids on the range and individual coaching for newcomers.

James is one of our specialist custom fitters. James is a scratch golfer, he is a member of Hayling Golf Club and enjoys playing competitively and for fun. James is our Callaway Ambassador. He has full product knowledge with all our brands and can fit any level of player.

Harry is one of our specialist custom fitters. Harry is an accomplished player and plays off 4, he is our Titleist Ambassador. He has full product knowledge with all our brands and can fit any level of player. With all the latest fitting technology including Trackman 4.
Elliott Smith

Elliott Smith

Custom Fit Specialist

Elliott joined the team in 2019 after gaining his degree from Chichester University in Sports Science and Coaching, He is a keen golfer and the newest member of our fitting team, who brings fresh enthusiasm and a keen eye for detail. Elliott is also our Under Armour and Srxion Ambassador.

Nicky has been in the business for 22 years, her role has always been retail, specifically ladies apparel and footwear, however her focus has changed onto marketing and enjoys being our 'social guru!' Although she is still very much involved in the daily running and buying of apparel and footwear.
Tony Lee

Office Manager

Tony has been part of the team for 24 years, he plays off 6 and is the only left handed golfer here! Tony has extensive knowledge of the products we stock and can help any level of player. Tony manages our back office, keeping a check of stock coming in, prices, customer orders and much more.
Steve Oxford

Shop Floor Manager

Steve has been a member of the team since 1996 and is one of our shop floor managers, Steve has an exceptional rapport with our regular customers, Southsea Golf Club members and first time customers, he has an extensive knowledge across all the brands of Footwear we stock.
Matt Healy

Matt Healy

Retail Team

Matt joined us in 2017, he has an eye for Fashion and keeps up with all the latest high street trends. This is reflected in the apparel we have in store today. Matt is one of the key clothing buyers for PGC, he makes up part of our apparel team. Matt is our Adidas Golf Ambassador and enjoys merchandising the store.

Sales Assistant

Jack started part time in 2019 whilst he was studying at college, he is now a full time member of team. Over the last year he has become a key part of the retail team. Jack is new to playing golf, started playing over the last 18 months! Jack has recently became our Wilson Ambassador.
Dan Hoskinson

Dan Hoskinson

Sales Assistant

Dan has been encouraged to play golf since he started and has now got the 'bug' for golf. Dan has an extensive knowledge of the of products we stock. He is also very good at turning his hands to anything mechanical, he is great when our power tees go down!
Harry Randall

Sales Assistant

Harry has joined us from Itchen College where he studied BTEC Sport, he currently has a handicap of 3.5 and is looking to start his PGA with us in Autumn 2025! Harry is a member of Waterlooville Golf Club and The New Forest. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to everything golf.

Sales Assistant

Sonny joined us in early 2024 and has become a great member of the retail team, he has a passion for golf and the technical side of the game. He will be working on getting his handicap down, to join the fitting team and start his PGA in the Autumn.

Course Marshal Team

Jon, Darren and our Collie dog Bullet are our outside 'Crew'. Jon and Darren are responsible for marshalling the golf course. They maintain the driving range and Power Tee’s and are also in charge of all the grounds around the pro shop.
